Difference Between 'Federation of States and Union of States.'

Federation of states and Union of states are two approaches or kinds of establishment of any Sovereign State.  The difference is based on the method of establishment of that state. Both the kinds have some miner differences. Although we cannot conclude that which method is apt or which not. In fact the base of difference is the way of implementation of the treaty, creation of constitution, creation of legislation and judiciary, freedom in the treaty, etc.

Federation of State: - Federation of states is a kind of state that is established by such kind of treaty that is not obligatory of any unit (states). Units can quit the treaty when they want. Moreover every state has separate constitution, although constitution cannot check the central constitution. USA is the best example for this kind of state.

Union of State: - A state created due to a treaty as federation of state. But the difference is that the treaty is obligatory for each unit (states). It means once a state signed the treaty then there is no chance for withdrawal.
Units also have no rights to make any constitution, they only can make rules and regulations for some specific points (decided while signing treaty).
India is one of the best examples for Union of States.
